This Privacy Policy explains how Where Am I Tool ("we", "us") handles information when you use Where Am I Tool (the "Service"), available at whereamitool.com.

1. Your location and the places you look up

Where Am I Tool has no accounts and no database, and we never receive your location. When you tap Find me, your browser asks your permission and then gives the page your coordinates. The page itself, running in your browser, sends those coordinates (or the address you typed) directly to three public services to build the answer:

• the OpenStreetMap Foundation's Nominatim service, to turn coordinates into an address or an address into coordinates (see the OSMF privacy policy);
• OpenStreetMap's map tile servers, which receive the map area around the point so the map can be drawn;
• Amazon Web Services' public Terrain Tiles dataset, which receives the elevation tile covering the point.

Like any web request, these services see your IP address and the requested area. We do not store the results, and nothing is kept once you close or reload the page. A share link you copy contains the coordinates in the link itself; it is only sent to whoever you give it to.

2. Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate traffic patterns (pages viewed, approximate location, device type). IP addresses are anonymised. You can opt out using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

3. Advertising

We do not currently display third-party advertising.

4. Cookies

We use only essential local storage needed for the Service to function. We do not set advertising or tracking cookies.

5. Your rights

Depending on your location (India and elsewhere), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you. Since we store almost no personal data, most requests can be resolved immediately. Contact us at hello@whereamitool.com.

6. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above.
